Census: Women win advanced-degree battle of the sexes

For the first time, U.S. women now outnumber their male counterparts when it comes to finishing college and earning advanced degrees, the Associated Press reports.

Among adults 25 and over, 10.6 million of those with advanced degrees are women, compared to 10.5 million that are male, according to the latest census figure out Tuesday. The gap was even larger at the undergraduate level, where females bested the men by roughly 1.5 million degrees.
